“Know thyself”.
In the media unreality , the madhouse that has gone global, the current media spread thought(illusion) is this non existent “gay monkey pox” you did not believe it and laughed too much so it was renamed mpox. Mmmmmh? A sexual preference knowing homophobic fake nothing under your bed. More laughter is needed. Will they rebrand the “flu” symptoms MPX next …or do another rebrand?
You are going to wake up anyway….what better time is there ?
V. Self-Concept( ego) versus Self
“1. The learning of the world is built upon a concept of the self adjusted
to the world’s reality. ²It fits it well. ³For this an image is that suits
a world of shadows and illusions. ⁴Here it walks at home, where what it
sees is one with it. ⁵The building of a concept of the self is what the
learning of the world is for. ⁶This is its purpose; that you come without a
self, and make one as you go along. ⁷And by the time you reach “maturity”
you have perfected it, to meet the world on equal terms, at one with its
demands.
2. A concept of the self is made by you. ²It bears no likeness to yourself
at all. ³It is an idol, made to take the place of your reality “ACIM
Who you really are is unaffected( uninfected) by this play of form, the shadows and illusions .
Forever Safe . Eternal.Whole. Complete. Held in Love.
It seems to me as often as not you’re stumping for ACIM. Sometimes it’s via a minor reference or two, and occasionally your entire article revolves around ACIM content, e.g. this one.
There are countless self help books, videos, programs, workshops, etc., and yet it is only ACIM you espouse, and with a religious fervor I might add.
Although I have no problem with ACIM, I’ve looked into it and decided it’s not for me. (A bit too labyrinthine for my liking.) There are other teachings promoting overlapping philosophies that I do incorporate into my life. (Joe Dispenza, Hicks, Tolle, Osho, and numerous other authors)
What’s my point here? Well… I enjoy reading your perspectives on what’s going on in the world, but perhaps tiring of the constant ACIM promotion. But hey! Maybe other readers enjoy it. Different strokes…
Hi Lynn I hear you. I am reading a little ACIM every day and I recommend the course. ACIM seems to be very unpopular as it uses the G word( when you mention God you are instantly thought of as religious)and the voice of spirit as ” the holy spirit” . Its language is religious it is very off putting to many . But as it is the truth and is a pointer it has hidden value.
I just felt for many that see the crazy goings on in the world they are being diverted off the(inner) path and still trying to find themselves in the world where there is so much noisy nothing( madness ) going on it can easily distract and divert. And those that are still ego mastered addicted to seeking and never finding.
No matter what teaching of love resonates and there are endless choices , the choice to be who you are is made every moment freshly. Then everything that comes to your attention no matter what form is something that can bring you Self remembrance.
I will mix it up a bit and try to tone down my religious fervor haha. After my next post where I will go into it and try to break down and summarize the teachings in non religious lingo.
